Fellow Internet Trader,

I've been a member of many wholesale directories for the past few years and hate them. I'll explain why below.

I have been trading on the internet mainly eBay for about 7 years now. I first started trying to find items that sold well, trying to locate wholesalers to work out what the profit would be and then if I could make any money. It was a tricky thing to do with no obvious answers. One of the biggest problems facing anyone wanting to start their own business either to become financially free or to build a second income is finding wholesale stock to sell from decent wholesalers. The place most people turn to search for wholesaler goods are internet search engines such as Google to find wholesale suppliers. What you come across a fair bit is wholesale membership sites.

If you find a wholesale directory I've probably been a member of it! I got a tip off from a fellow powerseller on eBay about one called Salehoo. This friend lives in Australia.

I've never normally been a fan of wholesale directories as most of the wholesale prices listed simply are not competitive when your selling on eBay and there is just no money to be made. You just end up buying items wholesale then when you sell them on eBay half the time you just get back what you paid for it.

So you can guess what my thoughts were when I had this tip from a fellow powerseller about Salehoo's wholesale directory. The only reason I took a look is because he's also a friend and when he's given me advice before he's been dead right.

I took a look and although it seemed it would probably have much better content and wholesale prices than other ones I've joined that I've done this so many times now all I'll be doing is wasting money again.

A few days later I got an email from my friend saying he was trying to locate a certain product but couldn't find it so he emailed Salehoo and asked them about it and they got back to him with a supplier and a really good wholesale price. He's selling it on eBay and this one product alone is making him $400 a week profit after the eBay selling fees.

Having heard that I decided to take another look at Salehoo's wholesale directory. As I've already said looking at Salehoo's front page it looked like it actually might be worth joining and although it was $99.95 it was just a one off payment, most are monthly and in reality cost about $99 a year. Salehoo also had a money back gaurentee so I thought this time I'd give it a go.

So is Salehoo any good?......

I was very pleasantly surprised! Salehoo's wholesale directory has the best directory of wholesalers I've seen out of all the sites I've been a member of. Personally I've started selling electronics brought from wholesalers located in China. The wholesaler I actually use only has a minimum order of one so I didn't need to spend thousands of dollars buying stock up front. Actually 74% of Salehoo's suppliers have a minimum order quantity of one!

Salehoo's wholesale directory also has a private members only forum. This has been a brilliant resource for speaking to like minded entrepreneurs and getting information about trading online. Their website is updated daily so not the problem of half the wholesalers being either no longer active and the links not working anymore. They also have 24 hour live support 6 days a week, this is a first in my experience where you can ask them anything.

You also get a list of top secret dropshippers. Dropshipping is where you don't even have to handle stock. You list on eBay or your website, someone buys, you inform the dropshipper of the buyers details and then they send it to the buyer. This is really useful if you don't have much room to store stock. You also get a step by step guide to selling on eBay. Also if your after electrical goods, check out the Chinese wholesalers Salehoo has.

They have over 75 categories of wholesale goods and if you can't find what your looking for just ask them and they'll find a wholesaler that sell the product your looking for and let you know. When press join just before you pay theres an offer to get 60% off Auction xfactor. Auction xFactor is a brilliant product that shows you how to make $1000's within only a couple of months but if you buy it with Salehoo you can get 60% off!

In years of learning how to make an income online I've read many things. I don't know if you've read the book Rich Dad Poor Dad but theres some information in there which is really good if you apply it. Basically if your to spend and amount of money providing that expense makes you more then your in profit. Salehoo is one of those things where this works. It costs $99.95 (I'll just add it's currently $67 but this is only a special offer) to join and within 10 day's of being a member I'd made $450! It's also a lifetime membership you get which makes it so much better than the monthly fee sites as you pay that once and thats it, you can use it for the rest of your life so it's a well worthwhile investment.
